South Savo Wellbeing Services Region Eloisa is seeking summer employees for home care in Mikkeli and Savonlinna to cover practical nurse substitutes from June 1 to September 30, 2026, or as agreed. We also consider applicants who are students in the field. Interviews and selections will be made during the application period. The home care of South Savo Wellbeing Services Region is a continuously developing environment that utilizes technology and pilots various operational models and services. The duties include basic care such as hygiene and assistance with meals, as well as medical tasks. We offer an inspiring and development-oriented work community and will provide you with orientation. Qualifications include a relevant social and health care vocational qualification or a previous professional qualification in the field, and registration in the Valvira professional register. We also consider students studying to become practical nurses or registered nurses. Practical nurse students must have completed at least 95 competence points with proof, and registered nurse students must have completed 4.5 ECTS in medication management. The position requires valid medication rights, which must be obtained at the start of employment if not already held. Good oral and written Finnish language skills are also required. The role requires vaccination protection as per section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a health statement regarding respiratory tuberculosis as per section 55. A trial period applies to the employment. Persons working with the elderly must present an acceptable criminal record extract before starting work if the employment exceeds three months (Supervision Act 741/2023, section 28).
