Wäinämöinen Care Home offers 24-hour assisted living in five group homes: Louhi, Tapio, Sampsa, Vellamo, and Ilmarinen. Wäinämöinen serves elderly people for whom living in their own homes is no longer possible despite support services. Maintaining the meaningfulness of life is a central part of our daily work, and care is based on a jointly developed individual service and care plan. As a practical nurse, you will act as the resident's own nurse and be responsible for providing high-quality gerontological nursing care. Your duties include assisting residents with daily activities, medication management, and supporting functional capacity according to the service and care plan. Additionally, there are small household tasks involved. Our goal is to support and promote the resident's resources and functional ability. What do we expect from you? - You are a licensed practical nurse (social welfare) or a basic nurse. - You have previous experience working with elderly people. - Customer-oriented mindset, good communication skills, and a willingness to develop. - You need a hygiene passport and approval of the LOVe medication management online test. The online tests can also be completed at the workplace before starting employment. Start date is negotiable. The probation period is six months. The position is full-time, shift work, averaging 38 hours and 15 minutes per week. The work includes morning, evening, and night shifts. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as per section 6, subsection 4 of the Criminal Records Act before starting employment. Additionally, the candidate must have valid vaccination protection according to section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act (1227/2016). Interested?
