Detective Commissioner 08.09 permanent position, drug crime investigation - Kainuun poliisilaitos - Espoo, Finland

The drug crime investigation team is an expert group whose main task, as defined in the police station's work order and regulations, is to uncover and investigate serious drug offenses, and to investigate violent crimes suspected to have occurred in premises controlled by organized crime groups. The investigation team is also assigned other cases related to serious crime or threats on a case-by-case basis. The duties of the senior officer in charge of drug crime investigations include additional responsibilities such as the general command of the police station and/or the duty investigation manager, as well as the responsibilities of the police station's wiretap coordinator and acting as a substitute for other investigation managers in the crime prevention sector. Regular remote work is not possible for this position. The general tasks of the crime prevention sector and drug crime investigation are defined in more detail in the police station's regulations and work order. The position can start on August 1, 2026, or by agreement.
