Staff Engineer, Artificial Intelligence - Thermo Fisher Scientific Oy - Remote - Global

We are looking for an experienced AI Lead to drive end to end delivery of AI initiatives. This role combines strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities to guide teams in building scalable GenAI solutions, predictive models, and enterprise data platforms. You will own solution delivery, technical quality, and stakeholder alignment across multiple initiatives. Lead design and delivery of GenAI and agent-based solutions, ensuring scalability and governance. Architect and oversee development of Python-based APIs and AI services. Establish engineering standards for performance, testing, monitoring, and deployment. Drive adoption of LLMOps/MLOps best practices, including evaluation, monitoring, and model lifecycle management. Provide mentorship and technical leadership to engineers. Partner with business leaders to translate strategic objectives into technical roadmaps. Ensure security, compliance, and data governance across AI solutions. Qualifications include 12+ years in AI delivery, 3+ years leading teams, expertise in Python, SQL, cloud platforms, and deploying enterprise GenAI solutions. Good to have skills include embedding AI into CRM/ERP, familiarity with BI tools, and experience in supply chain or analytics domains. Education required: Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent.
