Job Description
Join as a family worker in social services for families with children! The team includes social workers, social guidance counselors, family workers, family coordinators, and a supervisor. The work is carried out with a systemic approach, and in weekly team meetings, a family therapist is also available. The job involves providing home services for families with children, offering practical help and support in daily life. The family worker's work is mobile, with meetings held at clients' homes and other everyday environments. The work also includes evening shifts. It is performed independently, but also collaboratively with a partner and within the client's service network. We hope you have experience working with children and families, are flexible, proactive, and capable of working independently. Good communication skills and the ability to empathetically engage with clients in challenging life situations are valued. Colleagues provide support, and the work includes team structures, supervision, as well as benefits such as Edenred sports and cultural benefits. A work vehicle is available, but using your own car must also be possible. The qualification requirement is a practical nurse degree (registered with Valvira). Additionally, a valid driver’s license, good written and spoken Finnish skills, and ICT skills are required. Salary is based on the SOTE agreement. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as per section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act, due to work involving children. The law on criminal background checks (504/2022) and the law on social and health care supervision (741/2023) apply. A six-month probationary period will be observed. Original certificates will be checked during interviews. The planned interview period is weeks 23-24. The start date is negotiable.
