Job Description
Finland's largest plastic recycling plant is launching in Hyvinkää's circular economy hub in summer 2026. Nearly forty professionals are already working here to prepare for the startup, and now we are looking for six operators to join the first shift. Join the revolution of the circular economy and help make the world a better place. You will have the opportunity to work in brand new facilities with modern technology. Plastic processing is carried out in a closed water process, which is unique in Finland and Europe. As a new hero of the circular economy, you will: - Enabler: Participate in developing the operational practices of the production plant to ensure a safe working environment. - Change agent: Be involved in building a more sustainable world where materials are recycled into raw materials for international industry instead of being incinerated or landfilled. - Pioneer: Operate and develop a state-of-the-art plastic recycling plant. Join the revolution of the circular economy We are looking for active and proactive operators to work in various tasks within the plastic recycling plant's production process. Tasks include monitoring the production process, ensuring daily operations, and performing daily maintenance. Work tasks cover different stages of the production process, from separation to final product manufacturing. Approximately 30 operators, supervisors, and maintenance staff will work in shifts. The daily operations also involve internal and external logistics teams, laboratories, and other plant specialists. The entire staff collaborates closely to ensure production. You will join a friendly team and have the opportunity to grow professionally. Your skills are valued, and we aim to make the daily work at Syklon a little more enjoyable. Production supervisors are present daily, supporting and encouraging their teams. It is important for them that the team has a good atmosphere and that employees have good conditions to succeed and enjoy their work. You will receive onboarding, and you will be supported by a professional, approachable, and proactive team. Initially, you will work day shifts, but as production capacity increases, we will gradually transition to continuous three-shift work. This is a permanent full-time position, and the employment terms follow the Plastic Manufacturing and Chemical Industry collective agreement. Key skills and competencies We are looking for an enthusiastic new team member who wants to help build a better future. You have experience in process industry or similar production tasks for at least a few years. Experience in process industry and relevant vocational training are considered an advantage. Experience with extrusion processes is a plus but not essential. You work fluently in Finnish and can communicate in English if needed. You are proactive and actively participate in daily production activities. Most importantly, you are a friendly colleague who is excited about ambitious goals and our desire to change the world with innovative circular economy solutions. Additionally, you support Syklon’s positive culture through positive interaction.
