Job Description

Vantaa City, Education and Learning, Early Childhood Education Kuusikko Daycare Hovitie 11, 01380 Vantaa Employment duration: Fixed-term until 03.08.2026 or as agreed - 18.12.2026 Hello, you sensitive and professional early childhood education teacher, come work with us at Kuusikko's small and cozy daycare. We are looking for an early childhood education teacher to work in the Tiitiäiset group for 20% of the working hours, with your workday always on Tuesday. Kuusikko Daycare is a small house with three groups and nine educators where everyone enjoys working. The daycare employs 6 early childhood education teachers and 3 child caregivers. Our staff are professional, experienced, and formally qualified. We can therefore offer collegial support and engage in meaningful pedagogical discussions within the unit. The Tiitiäiset group has 17 children aged 1-4 years, based on autumn plans. The group has two early childhood education teachers and a child caregiver. One of the teachers works 80% of full-time, which is why we are now looking for the "missing piece" of the team — could that be you? We work closely with children's guardians. In a survey (2024), guardians gave excellent ratings regarding respectful and friendly interactions. Our goal is to create an atmosphere in the group and unit where every child and adult is accepted as they are. Each of our children's groups has its own adequately sized space. We expect enthusiasm for early childhood education, a professional and positive pedagogical approach. We have developed a ProVaka-based operational culture in our unit for over three years. You want to be genuinely present at the children's level in daily activities and find joy in meeting and working with children. We especially focus on work well-being. Our staff are valued, and this is shown through small acts. Kuusikko Daycare is located in a peaceful residential area next to Kuusikko School. The daycare has an active parent committee. During breaks, cheerful chatter can be heard in the coffee room. Would you like to join this professional and cheerful team? Submit your application, and we will contact you! Why choose Vantaa? Vantaa is a bold and relaxed employer that offers an open work environment and opportunities to try new work and operational methods. You will receive support in your work, as you are surrounded by a broad multidisciplinary cooperation and support network.
