Food Service Supervisor - Muonion kunta - Muonio, Finland

Would you like to live and work in Muonio, known for its happiness, and experience its eight seasons? The Muonio central kitchen prepares approximately 600 tasty meals daily for schools, daycares, and elderly services. Work is mainly on weekdays from 07:00 to 15:00. The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for daily operations of the central kitchen, including meal preparation, kitchen cleanliness, inventory management, raw material orders, and self-monitoring. The role also involves administrative tasks such as invoice review, email and phone correspondence, and recruiting substitutes. The Food Service Supervisor will substitute for the director during their absence. The supervisor develops recipes and food service operations in collaboration with the director and the team. We work as a team on new challenges. The team includes five central kitchen staff and three combined school center workers. A basic qualification in hotel, restaurant, or large-scale catering is required, or a relevant equivalent qualification. A supervisory qualification is an advantage. Experience in similar roles and a hygiene certificate are also preferred. The role requires service-mindedness, self-direction, teamwork skills, and flexibility. Good Finnish language skills are required. Muonion Ruoka- ja Siivouspalvelut Oy is a nicotine-free workplace. The position is permanent with a 6-month probation period. The selected candidate must provide a medical certificate of health before starting.
