Nojanmaa Daycare is located in a beautiful and peaceful setting, surrounded by forest near Nojanmaa School. The daycare has five active children’s groups, one of which operates within Nojanmaa School premises. Our friendly, enthusiastic, and motivated staff value children as unique individuals, childhood as it is, and support families with their joys and sorrows. We are seeking a social worker in early childhood education to join our multidisciplinary team, where activities are planned, implemented, evaluated, and developed together. The position is permanent, starting from August 1, 2026. The social worker in early childhood education contributes with their professional expertise to the comprehensive implementation, assessment, and development of early childhood education/preschool education and its pedagogy within their children’s group. The social worker collaborates with guardians to support the well-being of the child and family, recognizes everyday phenomena affecting children and families, and supports multidisciplinary cooperation. Qualifications are determined according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) sections 27 and 33. Working hours: 38.25 hours/week Employment terms and salary: KVTES Local level salary: €2887.97/month A six (6) month probationary period applies to the position. The selected candidate must provide a tuberculosis screening report in accordance with the Infectious Diseases Act (55§) and present a criminal record extract related to working with children, as required by law (504/2002).
