Job Description

Would you like to have a direct impact on the work ability and well-being of 27,000 healthcare professionals? Join HUS Occupational Health as a Chief Occupational Health Physician. HUS Occupational Health offers a unique opportunity to work with specialized healthcare professionals and support their work ability in a meaningful and demanding environment. We provide occupational health services to approximately 27,000 HUS employees across Uusimaa with a multidisciplinary team. We are strengthening our team of Chief Occupational Health Physicians. You will work alongside two other Chief Occupational Health Physicians and a Lead Occupational Health Physician. As a Chief Occupational Health Physician, you will play a central role in supporting both individual employees and business units in maintaining work ability and career longevity. You will serve as a line manager and participate in developing multidisciplinary training at our facilities. Additionally, you will act as a trainer for occupational health specialist training and perform clinical work in a significant role. You will also participate in developing occupational health services in accordance with HUS strategy, in close collaboration with HUS employees and business units. Your work will emphasize impact: supporting our clients’ work ability and well-being, and promoting longer careers. Clear and effective operational models have been agreed between HUS and occupational health, enabling smooth and collaborative work. The position involves office-based work during weekdays, with the possibility of partial remote work. The role combines clinical work, managerial duties, and development activities. The content and implementation of the work can be tailored to different career stages. Our occupational health clinics are located in Meilahti, Jorvi, Tikkurila, Hyvinkää, Lohja, Tammisaari, and Porvoo, near various HUS facilities. Developing occupational health is a key part of the employee experience in HUS strategy, and we invest in it long-term. We are looking for a Chief Occupational Health Physician interested in developing their training skills and enhancing multidisciplinary training to meet the needs of specialist training and other professional groups. You do not need to be a fully trained trainer—what matters most is a genuine desire to learn, develop, and advance activities together with the organization. Your workday will include clinical consultations, managerial tasks, and training development. You will meet professionals working in different units of HUS and have a tangible impact on their work ability and well-being. You will not work alone but as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team where doctors, nurses, and other experts support each other. Clear operational models and smooth collaboration with other HUS units guide the work, allowing focus on meaningful occupational health services.
