Printal Oy is a Finnish manufacturer of aluminum packaging, with production located in Hanko. We produce high-quality aluminum packaging for industrial needs and focus on continuous development, operational reliability, and practical work. Our team consists of approximately 25 professionals, and our production operates in three shifts. Our organization is lightweight, and our production environment is practical. The CEO focuses on customer relationships, investments, and overall management, while production and maintenance supervisors actively participate in operational tasks. Decisions are made quickly, and development is visible in practice. We are now seeking to strengthen our organization with PRODUCTION ENGINEER The core of the production engineer role is to take ownership of systematic development of production and act as a link between production, maintenance, quality, and management, ensuring that production operates better tomorrow than today. This is an expert role where you can influence concrete improvements in efficiency, quality, and operational reliability. You will not be responsible for daily production operations but will focus on building lasting improvements and long-term development. You will work closely with production and maintenance supervisors and the quality manager, reporting directly to the CEO. Your responsibilities will include: Process Development - Analyzing and developing production processes - Identifying and eliminating bottlenecks - Analyzing root causes of recurring problems - Ensuring sustainable improvements Efficiency and Quality Improvement - Reducing scrap - Developing production performance - Improving operational reliability Data Utilization and Analytics - Collecting and analyzing production data - Identifying root causes of stoppages and quality deviations - Measuring and monitoring development actions Development Projects - Commissioning new machines and production lines - Planning process changes and investments - Coordinating development projects with production, maintenance, and quality What we expect from you You have experience in industrial production and the ability to analyze and develop production processes practically. A background in process or metal industry is considered an advantage. You work systematically and can identify root causes of production problems and implement improvements. You are an analytical problem solver, but also a hands-on person who enjoys working in a production environment and collaborates smoothly with production and maintenance. You can build trust between different functions and proactively move things forward.
