We are looking for a childcare worker for the Meriharakka group at Kuusikkotie Day Care Center. The group consists of 18 children aged 2-4 years. In addition to the applicant, the group is staffed by another childcare worker, an early childhood education teacher, and an assistant for part of the week. The childcare worker is an important member of the team, whose task is to implement early childhood education appropriate to the child's age and developmental level together with the team. We require the ability to meet children individually and provide support according to their needs. We work in close cooperation with the children's guardians. Our goal is to create an atmosphere in the group and unit where every child and adult is accepted as they are. We place special emphasis on occupational well-being. We meet children sensitively and keep the daily routine unhurried. We emphasize genuine presence in everyday life. Each child group has its own group spaces and entrances, making it easy to stagger activities and work in small groups. Our day care center has a cozy dining hall where the Meriharakka group eats. Building community is important to us, for example by organizing joint events. Our day care center was completed in 2018, and five child groups operate in our clean and bright premises. Additionally, the center has a dining hall and a gym. We are located in a quiet area of Kuusikko. Employment details Qualification requirement: Childcare worker (qualification of an early childhood education childcare worker according to the Early Childhood Education Act) In addition to the qualification requirement, we require: An enthusiastic and committed attitude towards early childhood education and fluent Finnish language skills. Considered an advantage: Experience in childcare worker duties and fluent ICT skills. We value the ability to meet different children sensitively and respond to their support needs. Terms of employment are determined in accordance with the Municipal General Civil Servants and Employees' Collective Agreement (KVTES). Salary: 2611-2684 eur/month (August general increase included). A work experience supplement based on previous work experience is 3-8%. Required permits: The selected person must present a valid criminal record extract. A tuberculosis clearance for the respiratory system is checked for selected persons working with children under school age (Infectious Diseases Act § 55).
