Job Description
We are looking for a fixed-term school assistant at Lestijärvi Comprehensive School from August 10, 2026, to June 5, 2027. The working hours are 38.25 hours per week. The position is located at Lestijärvi Comprehensive School, which operates in a new and cozy log school building in a natural environment by the shores of Lestijärvi. The duties of the school assistant include guiding and supporting students during the school day in small groups, with instruction provided by a special education teacher. Additionally, the role involves working in morning and afternoon activities as a partner to the school assistant responsible for these activities. Qualifications include a school assistant qualification or other suitable education, as well as experience working with children and young people. Salary is determined according to KVTES. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract in accordance with the Act (504/2002) Section 3, regarding working with children, before starting the job. Lestijärvi municipality will conduct a health check for all new employees whose employment or service relationship lasts longer than six (6) months. The check includes testing for drug and, if necessary, alcohol use. The position includes a four (4) month probationary period. Lestijärvi is a small and community-oriented municipality in Central Ostrobothnia, where everyday life is smooth and nature is close.
