School Assistant, Tuiran School/Merituuli - Oulun kaupunki - Oulu, Finland

A permanent position as a school assistant is available at Tuiran School's Merituuli unit. The role involves supporting students with special needs, which may also include supervising afternoon activities. The working hours are 32 hours per week. If necessary, weekly hours can be increased temporarily. Qualifications required include a vocational qualification in school attendance and morning and afternoon activity supervision, a practical nurse qualification with a focus on children and youth, or another suitable professional qualification that includes pedagogical studies or education and guidance studies. Additional qualifications such as MAPA or equivalent training and completion of medication administration basics are considered an advantage. The salary for the school assistant position is based on the level pay system and the skills and responsibilities involved, ranging from €2,341.57 to €2,460.00. The actual salary consists of a task-specific salary and any other level-based allowances according to the Collective Agreement for Local Government Employees (KVTES). The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract related to working with children, issued under the Act (504/2002) Section 3, before starting the position.
