Job Description

We are looking for an instructor in Kittilä for the training for work and independent living (TELMA) as part of the Ammattiopisto Luovi work community. TELMA training is implemented in Kittilä as satellite teaching. In satellite teaching, the instructor works with a small group of students and another partner instructor in Kittilä and maintains close contact with the remote teacher by phone and Teams connections. The instructor guides students to implement the planned tasks and daily activities in the student's own home town. The workplace is located in Kittilä on the Highway in the REDU unit premises, where work is done from Monday to Friday. Your special task: As an instructor, you implement individual study paths for students with your partner instructor, under the guidance of a remote vocational special education teacher. Central to your work is the guidance and support of students in their studies and daily life tasks in agreed learning environments. You guide students practically in working life and different learning environments, taking into account the students' support needs. As an instructor, you act as part of a team participating in the planning and development of operations as well as mapping students' further paths and employment opportunities. Together you create the best possible learning conditions and individual paths to work and independent living for our students. Would this be a suitable job for you? You may be the person we are looking for if you are interested in instructional work and have experience in similar tasks. You may have education in the social, health or education field, but the most important thing is the desire to work with students who need special support. The position requires a positive and courageous attitude as well as good cooperation skills for operating with various partners and networks. In addition to your partner, you are supported by a remote teacher and other satellite team members, but daily life is independent and consists of close work with students, which requires initiative and the ability to adapt to changing situations. Due to the nature of the task, your digital skills are up to date and you are interested in various digital tools used to support teaching. A B-driver's license is beneficial. The employment is part-time (30h/week) and fixed-term until 18.6.2027. Work starts on Monday 3.8. or by agreement. The terms of employment are determined by the Collective Agreement of the Private Education Sector and the salary for the position is according to your work experience approximately 1870-2080e/month. Work is done on weekdays approximately between 8 am and 3 pm. What does Ammattiopisto Luovi offer you? With us, you get a good opportunity to develop your skills in the instructional work of students needing special support. The instructor's tasks offer you a great opportunity to become part of the everyday life of vocational special education as part of satellite teaching. We value a culture of doing things together and you will receive support in your work from our multidisciplinary and competent staff. Trust, innovation, expertise, caring and joy are visible in our values and everyday life. We want to promote your well-being at work with modern working tools, a relaxed atmosphere and development opportunities. Interested in the position?
