Site Manager / Site Engineer - NRC Group - Kouvola, Finland

We are now looking for a Site Manager/Engineer for the Kouvola data center project! In this position, you will act as the right hand of the site manager, and your desk will include, among other things, the management of subcontracts and the creation of quality handover documentation. You will be responsible, independently and together with the site manager, for the planning and implementation of projects. Your duties include: - Monitoring the site schedule and readiness level - Supporting the site management, planning, and daily organization of earthworks and construction works - Preparing and monitoring cost forecasts - Coordinating and producing project quality and safety documentation Please note that performing the duties requires willingness to travel and presence on site. Work takes place in Kouvola at the beginning of the employment, and thereafter the location of the task varies according to the contract sites. What do we expect from you? - Suitable construction education for the position – your degree could be, for example, a construction foreman, construction engineer (UAS) or a master of science in technology. - At least a couple of years of previous experience from earthworks, infrastructure, or building construction sites. You can be an experienced site manager or site engineer, or an infrastructure expert striving forward in your career – the most important thing is that you know the site everyday life, want to lead the activities in practice, and move things forward determinedly together with the team. Previous experience in the construction of data centers, substations, or power plants is also considered an advantage. - Good knowledge of Finnish and English. You will communicate in English as the site language. - Initiative and a will to move projects forward with quality, responsibility, and continuous improvement. - Good cooperation and interaction skills. You enjoy working with different stakeholders. - B-driver's license, as the position requires movement. - Passing a pre-employment check at the start of employment.
