Job Description
This position is related to the government's goal of hiring 500 young people into fixed-term service positions as seasonal workers and higher education interns during 2026. The Coast Guard's Crime Prevention Unit in the Gulf of Finland is seeking a higher education intern (AI / software development) for a three-month fixed-term position starting in September 2026. The intern will participate in developing AI solutions to support the analysis of serious cross-border crime. The tasks include building tools for data analysis, text processing, and pattern recognition. Strong Python skills and experience with machine learning or AI applications are required. Experience with NLP, LLM models, and data analytics is appreciated.
