Job Description
As a Process Engineer at AMETEK, you will play a key role in the assembly, testing, and quality development of X-ray detectors. Your work will focus on optimizing, maintaining, and supporting manufacturing processes daily. This versatile role combines practical technical work, automation, and continuous improvement of production processes in an international high-tech environment. You will work closely with production, the local technical expert team, and international colleagues. Your daily tasks include developing production processes and equipment, providing technical support, and troubleshooting. Tasks may involve design work, troubleshooting, developing solutions related to production data, creating work instructions, and participating in development projects. The role emphasizes proactive and practical working methods, allowing you to maintain current processes and build new solutions to improve production. Key responsibilities include developing and optimizing manufacturing processes and production equipment for X-ray detectors, designing and implementing automation and equipment improvement solutions, providing technical support and troubleshooting in the production environment, identifying development areas to improve quality, efficiency, and performance, maintaining and developing process documentation and work instructions, and promoting continuous improvement projects and ensuring process compliance. The ideal candidate has a technical university degree in automation, electrical, mechanical, or process engineering, several years of experience in process engineering or production development, experience in process optimization and troubleshooting, good command of English and Finnish, and additional skills in automation, CAD, Lean, Six Sigma, high-tech manufacturing, soldering, measurement devices, SPC, PFMEA, or risk-based process design.
