Registered Nurse - come to the New Children's Hospital to perform meaningful nursing work for children and families in a permanent position! We are seeking a registered nurse for the Taika ward starting August 31, 2026, who is particularly passionate about working with children and adolescents. At Taika, we care for patients with cancer, blood diseases, kidney diseases, and transplant patients. The ward's work is characterized by a high volume of medication and an extremely important role for basic care and collaboration with families and a multidisciplinary team. Interest in pediatric specialty care and a desire to develop in it are prerequisites for meeting patients according to their age and development and implementing family nursing. We value good teamwork skills, positivity, an open attitude, and a willingness to learn new things. The selected nurse commits to operating in accordance with the HUS values of the magnet hospital model. Work experience in pediatric specialty care and the aforementioned patient groups is considered an advantage. The work is full-time three-shift work. There are approximately 3 night shifts every 3 weeks. We offer a comprehensive orientation and the support of a clinical instructor if needed. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract required for those working with children in accordance with Section 6, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993). We require vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health statement regarding pulmonary tuberculosis for those working in healthcare units.
