In brief As Paid Media Manager you act as Channel Lead for one or a few assigned channels as well as Paid Media Market Lead for one or a few assigned markets. As Channel Lead you are responsible for both channel strategy and hands on execution in the channel across all markets. As Paid Media Market Lead for one or a few assigned geographical markets, you are responsible to align all paid media activities in the assigned market in close dialogue with other Paid Media Managers as well as the local marketing team. Key responsibilities Channel Lead Set the channel strategy to optimize contribution to brand awareness and customer acquisition (as measured in Marketing Mix Modeling). Execute strategy in assigned channels, either hands on in the platform or through media agencies depending on the channel. Continuously evaluating and optimizing your channels, with a data driven test and learn approach. Keep strict control of costs and maintain the budget sheet as well as invoice payments and accruals. Drive the development of the technical aspects needed to stay ahead of the curve in your channels in close collaboration with the MarTech team. Set requirements on content best practices in your channels to maximise the effect. Maintain and nurture a professional relationship with platforms, vendors and/or agencies needed to execute in your channels. Drive innovation and actively lean into the development within your channels and maintain industry best practices for your channels and secure internal documentation. Support other Paid Media Managers with expertise from your channels in their markets. Participate in the “buddy system” to ensure sufficient knowledge to fill in on other Channel leads as well as ensure a plan to relieve your Channel Lead. Paid Media Market Lead Overall responsibility to ensure a sound media mix and budget allocation in your markets. You keep a close dialogue with the local marketing team to catch local nuances, trends and business needs. You work closely with co Paid Media Managers to adjust their channels to best fit your markets requirements. You have an overall understanding of the market situation in your markets, including competitors, products and other local specifics. You work closely with KPI Lead and Local marketing team to ensure Content, Media & Messaging work well with the objective of activities. Qualifications To be a good fit for the role you have around 5+ years of experience in a data-driven media, performance or growth marketing role, experience in regulated industries (Fintech, Banking, or Insurance) is a significant plus. You have a good technical proficiency with hands on experience with major ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, etc.). Experience with MMM frameworks, GA4, GTM, and data visualization tools (Looker Studio/PowerBI) is highly valued. You enjoy "connecting the dots" between different data sources and are comfortable navigating environments where tracking isn’t always 1:1. As a person you thrive in complex organisations and can shift between technical deep-dives and broad strategic planning. You love your “silo channel” but understand that it works best if you collaborate with others to drive the full media system. You also lean into learning from both your colleagues and our local markets. Last but not least, you are curious and forward leaning, we are excited to find someone with a proactive interest in (or experience with) using Generative AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude, or AI video tools) to increase operational efficiency and content velocity.
