SprinDrive: Coil Winder - aTalent - Lappeenranta, Finland

SpinDrive is looking for a Coil Winder to join its R&D team in Lappeenranta. In this role, you'll help improve prototype and serial production quality by working closely with engineering teams and international manufacturing partners. You will report to SpinDrive's Lead Mechanical Engineer and collaborate daily with mechanical and electrical engineers, suppliers, and supply chain stakeholders. Your work combines hands-on coil winding, manufacturing development, documentation, and supplier collaboration. You'll help ensure that technical drawings and manufacturing documentation are practical, readable, and transferable to production partners. Since SpinDrive does not have an in-house manufacturing workshop, you'll also play a key role in creating practical tooling, insulation, and winding solutions from scratch when needed. Key responsibilities include manufacturing and improving precision coil winding solutions for Active Magnetic Bearing (AMB) components, supporting prototype production and assembly activities, performing coil connection, soldering, insulation, impregnation, and related assembly processes, working closely with engineering teams and manufacturing partners to ensure manufacturability, product quality, and continuous improvement, and collaborating with international suppliers and production partners to ensure smooth communication and high-quality prototype and serial production. The role is mainly onsite in Lappeenranta, Finland, with some travel to supplier locations and occasional remote workdays. The start date is as soon as possible, latest August 2026.
