Electrical Design Engineer - Etteplan Oyj - Remote - Global

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in designing wiring harnesses and cable routes for the automotive industry. The role involves designing electrical installations, preparing technical documentation, and collaborating with project teams on advanced projects for international clients. Responsibilities include designing wiring harnesses and cable routes, creating electrical schematics and documentation in CAD, updating project documentation and BOM, selecting electrical components, working with suppliers, integrating electrical systems with mechanical and system teams, analyzing technical requirements, supporting prototype development, and participating in testing and validation. Candidates should have technical education (electricity, electrotechnics or related), practical experience in wiring harness design, knowledge of electrical installation design for vehicles, CAD proficiency, ability to read and create technical documentation and schematics, experience with BOM, effective teamwork skills, and English proficiency (min. B2). Preferred skills include knowledge of wiring harness design standards, experience with PDM/PLM systems, prototype testing, supplier collaboration, and experience in defense, special vehicles, or heavy industry projects. Additional requirements include legal capacity, no criminal record, and security clearance readiness.
