Full-time Biology and Geography Teacher at Viikki Teacher Training School - Helsingin yliopisto - Helsinki, Finland

We are seeking a teacher primarily for the Helsinki University practice school, Viikki Teacher Training School, for grades 7-9 and high school. BIOLOGY AND GEOGRAPHY FULL-TIME TEACHER for a fixed-term employment from August 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. You are required to have teaching qualifications in both subjects. In addition to professional competence, we value good collaboration and interaction skills, a developmental approach to work, and enthusiasm for developing teaching. We would like to hear about your previous experience in teaching biology and geography, as well as pedagogical use of teaching technology. Experience of supervising is considered an advantage, so please tell us in your application what experience you have in this area. The salary for the position is based on the collective agreement for university practice schools at level 5 of the job evaluation scale. Additionally, a performance-based salary component is paid. With full teaching duties, the salary ranges approximately from €4,300 to €4,500 per month, plus any overtime and compensation for other tasks. The salary for a full-time substitute teacher depends on the number of hours taught and other duties.
