Two permanent positions for SCHOOL ASSISTANTS are available at Haukipudas School. The positions are part-time, 32 hours per week. The roles are located in the middle school for grades 7-9 in a special support class, as well as in a flexible basic education class (Jopo) for grades 7-9 / small group for grades 7-9. Haukipudas School is a comprehensive school located in Northern Oulu. The school provides basic education for grades 1-9. In addition to general education groups, the school has various small groups and one Jopo class from Northern Oulu. Haukipudas School has approximately 860 students and 122 staff members. The school's activities are based on the national curriculum, aiming to provide high-quality, safe, and student-centered education. We at Haukipudas School want to promote the overall well-being, learning, and growth of students into responsible members of society. We participate in several national and international development projects, such as the Moving School initiative, UNESCO ASP, Erasmus+, and NordPlus collaborations. Through these, the school develops its operational culture and enhances student participation, community spirit, and international skills. Collaboration between home and school is a key part of our activities. The qualification requirement is a professional qualification in school attendance and morning and afternoon activity supervision, a practical nurse qualification with a focus on children and youth, or other suitable vocational qualification that includes pedagogical studies or education and guidance studies. Experience working with grades 7-9 or with children and youth requiring intensive support is considered an advantage. We also value good teamwork and communication skills. The salary for the school assistant position is based on the job-specific pay scale and levels of competence and responsibility, ranging from €2,341.57 to €2,460.00. The actual salary consists of the task-specific pay and any other levels according to the Collective Agreement for Municipal Employees (KVTES). Candidates must present a criminal record extract related to working with children, issued under the Act 504/2002, Section 3, before starting the position.
