We are seeking part-time operators for the ice hockey match control room for our client (Wisehockey). The smart puck system Wisehockey is an international pioneer in sports analytics. Wisehockey produces versatile ice hockey analytics based on positioning technology. The automated system tracks the movements of the puck and players during the game and produces real-time visual information for coaches or directly to the viewer's mobile app. Who skated the most during the match, from where the shot was taken, or which team dominated the game – this information is always available via the Wisehockey system installed in the ice rink. The Wisehockey system not only produces statistics but enables a unique service package around the sporting event. The Wisehockey system is used in the domestic Liiga as well as in Norway and Germany, among others. As an operator, you will work in the control room of the office located in Viinikka, Tampere, monitoring the Wisehockey automated analytics system via multiple monitors. The task requires the ability to learn the use of monitoring tools, for which you will receive orientation. Operators are expected to have a flexible and customer-service-oriented attitude, as situations in matches can change quickly and require reaction. A technical expert will also support you during shifts. When necessary, communication with the customer is handled via phone, email, and/or Slack. The task requires knowledge of ice hockey rules, and a background in the sport is considered an advantage. The working language is Finnish, but we also require fluent English proficiency related to sport-specific terminology. Operator shifts are mainly on weekends, with shifts approximately 4-8 hours long. Shifts are generally on Friday evenings (starting from 16:00-17:00) and on Saturdays in day or evening shifts. Estimated average working hours per weekend are 5-15h. However, the number of shifts varies by week, taking into account team game breaks, etc. We expect applicants to be able to commit to the aforementioned working hours for the duration of the fixed-term contract. It is possible to submit requests for time off and shifts. The employment contract is concluded as a fixed-term for the season through Eezy Henkilöstöpalvelut, starting with orientation in August 2026 and tentatively lasting until March 2027.
