Doctor, do you want to work in Finland's largest welfare area? We are seeking a public health center doctor for a permanent position in the Pirkanmaa welfare area. The position is mainly based at Hervanta Social and Health Center, located in a lively and multicultural neighborhood with good transportation links. It is approximately 9 kilometers from Tampere city center, with a travel time of about 15-20 minutes. You can also reach the location easily by tram, with a stop nearby. At Hervanta, you will work as part of a supportive and active team. Continuity of care is maintained through the personal doctor model, and you will be supported by a designated nurse partner. The role is versatile and can be tailored to your interests: you may choose to work in sectors such as child health clinics or school health services, and include digital clinic work. Your duties include on-call shifts outside working hours in accordance with the Pirkanmaa welfare area's emergency duty requirements. Shifts are scheduled on weekday evenings (Monday-Thursday, 16:00-20:00) about 1-2 times per month at Sastamala or Hatanpää Social and Health Centers. You may also opt to work weekend and holiday shifts at the digital clinic or Hatanpää emergency service. Emergency shifts are paid according to the doctor’s contract, with hourly rates increased by on-call coefficients, or you can accrue flexible leave. You are eligible for the position if you are a licensed doctor in Finland. A specialist degree in general medicine is considered an advantage for permanent positions. Good spoken and written Finnish skills are required. Previous experience as a public health center doctor, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to long-term work in a health center are valued.
