Network Designer

We are seeking an autonomous and skilled Network Designer to plan expansion and replacement investments for water networks. In this role you will apply your design expertise practically as part of a knowledgeable team. The position is a roughly one-year fixed-term contract through Academic Work with Alva-yhtiöt Oy. Main duties include independent, high-quality network design; water supply network design mainly with NovaPoint software; participation in planning meetings and close collaboration with stakeholders; field surveys when required; planning and coordination of diverse client projects; using Microsoft 365 tools in daily work. We look for a few years of experience with infrastructure design software, preferably NovaPoint (Tekla Civil / Civil 3D as alternatives). Proficiency in Finnish (spoken and written). Experience in water utility network design (consultancy or waterworks). Good IT skills. Willingness to work from Jyväskylä office and travel for field surveys. It helps if you have NovaPoint experience specifically, prior work in water utilities, ability to work independently, and easy collaboration within a team.
