The position at the start of employment is located at Tuusulanjärvi Daycare in the South Tuusula area. Why become an early childhood education group assistant for the municipality of Tuusula? Multidisciplinary support in the work of an early childhood education group assistant. You will not work alone. In addition to the daycare manager and assistant manager, support is provided by a special education teacher, family counselor, and depending on the unit, a resource social worker and an art pedagogue. We appreciate skills in engaging and creating positive pedagogical interactions with children. We value good communication and collaboration skills and a willingness to work together with the team. We appreciate skills, ability, and enthusiasm to support children in their development and learning journey. Skills in special pedagogical methods such as picture communication, sign language, administering medication to children, and familiarity with neuropsychiatric (nepsy) issues and methods related to children of early childhood age are valued. As a group assistant, you will participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating activities for children and groups in the daycare together with the teaching team and guardians. We value the desire and enthusiasm to update your skills and develop things together with the work team. The qualification for the position of early childhood education group assistant is a qualification in education or guidance, practical nurse, or an equivalent qualification. Good oral Finnish skills are required, and the ability to move between different daycare units if necessary. Please note that the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as specified in the Criminal Records Act (770/1993) section 6, subsection 2, and provide a health declaration confirming they do not have active tuberculosis, as required by infectious disease law. Salary, working hours, and employment benefits Salary and other terms of employment are determined according to the municipal collective agreement (KVTES). The base salary for an early childhood education group assistant is at level A, €2447.92/month. Possible experience-based salary supplements of 3% or 8% of the base salary are paid. The working hours are 38 hours and 15 minutes per week. The employment is for an indefinite period with a six-month probationary period.
