Assistant, Residential Service Unit Onnentupa, Alavus (Töysä) - Etelä-Pohjanmaan hyvinvointialue - Alavus, Finland

We are seeking an assistant to join our expanding team in a permanent position at the residential service unit Onnentupa in Töysä, Alavus, starting from August 1 or according to agreement. Onnentupa is a small unit with 5 beds, providing short-term care for children and adolescents under 18 with special support needs. The unit emphasizes safety, individuality, family-centeredness, and daily rehabilitation and guidance. We tailor our activities to the needs and wishes of children and families, supporting their rights. Work is carried out in close cooperation with the children's relatives. We value respectful encounters with children and families. As our operations expand, we are now looking for an assistant to do meaningful work in a unit for children with developmental disabilities. The assistant's role is versatile and includes various supportive tasks. Responsibilities include cleaning, laundry, meal assistance, and guiding and supporting clients in daily activities. We require good cooperation and communication skills, a positive attitude towards work, and a desire to provide high-quality, customer-oriented services for our clients. Flexibility, initiative, and creativity are appreciated. The assistant's work involves two-shift work. Onnentupa is led by a shared supervisor in collaboration with Tervashovi in Alavus. Tervashovi is a 24-hour residential unit for people with disabilities. If needed, we will flexibly utilize Onnentupa staff for Tervashovi in situations such as canceled shifts, fewer children than planned, or if the expansion does not start fully from the beginning of August.
