Raasepori, with approximately 27,000 residents, is seeking an inspiring and participative leader who wants to work together with residents, decision-makers, and about 1,300 employees to build a vibrant and sustainable city where people enjoy living and the economy grows. Our current city mayor is moving on to new challenges, so we are now looking for a successor. We are looking for someone who is bold, proactive, outward-looking, and capable of understanding the bigger picture and thinking both strategically and long-term. You have experience in leadership, knowledge of municipal operations, strong financial skills, and a development-oriented work approach. As city mayor, you will also represent Raasepori in various contexts and serve as the face of the city and an important ambassador. As the city mayor of Raasepori, you will work in a historic and natural environment with significant development potential and a strong belief in the future. Here, small-town life, vibrant countryside, archipelago, and valuable mill environments meet. You will collaborate with our organization to develop a vibrant and diverse economy, safe and attractive residential environments, and effective services for both residents and leisure visitors. We take climate responsibility seriously, and positive developments are reflected in migration, growing tourism, and increasing employment opportunities. The qualification requirement is a higher university degree and good familiarity with public administration. Proficiency in spoken and written Swedish and Finnish is required. Other language skills are considered an advantage. The city mayor will be employed on a six-month probationary period. The work will begin by agreement.
