The development manager's task is to lead the operations of the responsible unit and its staff in accordance with set strategic and operational policy goals. Goals are set annually in the operational plan and longer-term objectives are outlined through projects in the investment program. You will participate in preparing the operational and investment plans and in strategic planning. HUS's Information Management is an active player that develops and implements new innovations in the healthcare sector. Job description We are currently seeking a development manager for a permanent position in the Data, AI, and Digital Services division to lead the operations of the Terveyskylä services responsible unit. In the Data, AI, and Digital Services division, we develop the future of healthcare. Our mission is to make healthcare more efficient and impactful, creating value through data and digital services. We believe that the future of social and health services (sote) is built on data! In this role, you will act as the head of the Terveyskylä services responsible unit. You will lead and coordinate the unit's activities, including managerial tasks, strategic development, and daily operations management. Your role involves working with various stakeholders such as product owners, development teams, technology providers, management, and other partners. The Terveyskylä services are developed nationally. Your responsibilities include: * Overall management of the unit's services * Guiding product and service managers and other experts, managing dependencies within the product development teams, and being responsible for the overall * Vendor management related to the unit's services and proactive management of vendor relationships * Managing stakeholder relationships related to the unit's services and representing the service to partners and users * Developing and implementing the unit's vision and roadmap in line with strategy * Monitoring the quality of operations and managing data protection and security from various perspectives To succeed in this role, you should have: * Exceptional self-direction and initiative * Experience in similar roles * Extensive experience in financial planning, monitoring, and reporting * Experience managing and monitoring large concurrent ICT projects * Ability to communicate clearly in Finnish and, if necessary, in English * Excellent prioritization skills and resilience under pressure * Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business-oriented stakeholders * Experience and skills in leading product development teams * Comprehensive experience in ICT service management * Experience in managerial work * Understanding and experience in user-centered digital service development, preferably in a social and health care context * Ability to take responsibility and ownership of a broad service portfolio * Ability to work independently and proactively under pressure * Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills * Good collaboration, interaction, communication, documentation, data analysis, and meeting skills * An exceptionally systematic, proactive, flexible approach to advancing tasks * Experience and skills in strategic change management We value: * Experience in the healthcare sector and familiarity with terminology related to digital services aimed at patients and professionals * Enthusiasm and change leadership skills to develop HUS's work community and culture towards more agile and efficient operations We offer: * Independent and responsible work where you will lead critical services for HUS's operations and strategy, including Omapolku, Terveyskylä houses, and services for professionals * Flexible working hours and a good work-life balance * An expert and friendly work community that continuously develops working methods and culture * The opportunity to influence the development of Finland's largest specialized healthcare provider * Professional, empathetic, and humane leadership * The opportunity to develop and modernize HUS's organizational culture * Work with real significance: We at HUS are committed to developing healthcare services and work daily to support people's well-being.
