Job Description
You will be responsible for the overall safety, environmental responsibility, and corporate security of UPM Savonlinna plywood mill. You will lead and develop safety systematically, ensure safety is visible in daily operations, and implement development projects. You will manage environmental issues including chemical safety and emissions, ensure compliance with legislation, permits, and UPM standards. You will oversee site security and fire safety, collaborate with authorities, and report to the mill director. The role involves working closely with safety, HR, and environmental experts. The ideal candidate has a relevant higher education degree, experience in safety and environmental management, leadership experience, understanding of industrial processes, proactive work style, and fluent Finnish and English communication skills.
