Job Description
The employment and integration services unit of the City of Salo is seeking an employment specialist. The position is located in the matching unit, which works closely with a partner. The primary work location for this role is Somero. The core task of the employment specialist is to identify barriers to employment for unemployed clients and actively guide them towards suitable job opportunities. The goal is to find employment pathways for clients on open labor markets, possibly through skills development or other appropriate services. Key responsibilities include tasks under the Public Employment and Business Services Act, matters related to unemployment benefits, assessment of skills service needs, creating employment plans in collaboration with clients, and comprehensive, goal-oriented guidance work. The employment specialist's role is to ensure clients find employment and access other necessary services and support to facilitate smooth transitions into working life. We are looking for a proactive, customer-oriented individual capable of working independently. The role requires expertise in employment services, particularly knowledge of the Public Employment and Business Services Act, unemployment benefits, and familiarity with other employment service providers and actors. The position requires understanding and applying relevant laws, guidelines, and regulations in practical work. Previous experience with TE services is an advantage. The role emphasizes self-directed and planned work, even under pressure during busy periods. The salary level is €2,962.25/month. In addition to the base salary, experience-based supplements may be paid according to the collective agreement. Personal supplements are also paid to employees with service periods exceeding six months. The employment will be subject to a six-month probationary period, provided the conditions of the collective agreement are met. The position is conditional until the selected candidate provides an acceptable health certificate.
