Principal/Senior Security Researcher - Autonomous EDR- Windows (Cortex) - Palo Alto Networks - Remote - Global

We are looking for a Security Researcher to join our research group as part of a growing team developing Autopilot, an innovative product for autonomous investigation and response. You will research, design, and develop investigation modules that enable Autopilot to detect, investigate, and respond to advanced threats at a large scale. Your work includes analyzing malware behaviors, attacker techniques, and process activity in enterprise networks, identifying attack patterns, uncovering anomalies, and validating system responses using production data. Responsibilities include developing autonomous investigation methods, designing graph-based algorithms, creating automated incident response logic, leveraging AI and statistical methods, conducting deep malware investigations, staying updated on attacker TTPs, and contributing to team strategy. Qualifications include 5+ years in security or threat research, proficiency in Python, knowledge of attack methods, experience with large datasets, ownership drive, critical thinking, excellent communication, and a cybersecurity passion. Preferred skills include OS internals (Windows), graph DB and algorithms, statistics, and machine learning. We support diversity and provide accommodations for disabilities.
