High School Guidance Counselor - Kulosaaren yhteiskoulun osakeyhtiö - Helsinki, Finland

Kulosaaren yhteiskoulu is a private educational institution covering grades 7-9 and the upper secondary school. The school has approximately 1,170 students and about 115 staff members. It specializes in bilingual education in Finnish and English. The school also emphasizes social sciences and natural sciences. Our upper secondary school offers four lines: general, social sciences and economics, science and technology, and English-language line. Internationalism, community, and goal-oriented study are important values at our school. We are seeking a high school guidance counselor for a fixed-term position from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The fixed-term is due to the vacancy being filled during the recruitment process. The position will be opened for a permanent appointment starting August 1, 2027. Your duties include organizing guidance for first, second, and third-year high school students, totaling seven groups and approximately 215 students. Experience in high school guidance, enthusiasm for working with youth, active participation in school community development, and the ability to collaborate closely with other guidance counselors, subject teachers, and student welfare staff are valued. Good IT skills are also beneficial. Work is mainly conducted in Finnish, but proficiency in English is advantageous for working in a bilingual school community.
