Job Description

During last summer, 90% of our summer workers felt they were integrated into the work community and over 90% felt they could utilize their skills during the summer job. We are now looking for a social and health care professional / final-year student for a summer position from May to September. Welcome to summer work at the housing services for people with intellectual disabilities in Espoo Lakisto! Our unit in Espoo Lakisto offers summer jobs working with clients with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. The varied workdays offer opportunities to develop professionally and learn new things every day. We tailor and anticipate situations based on clients' needs, making transitions and encounters smoother. Together with clients, we plan daily and weekly programs that provide security and include enjoyable activities amidst daily routines. Your work includes basic care, medication, rehabilitative approach, and guidance. You also support clients physically in daily activities. Lakisto's summer invites you to walk on nature trails, swim in the pond, and go hiking. Everyone greets on Lakisto! We expect from you: Studies or a degree in social and health care and Valvira registration (we require Suosikki registration from practical nurses) Ability to meet clients individually and warmly Readiness for three-shift work (mainly two-shift work during the summer) Basic Finnish skills needed for documentation and client interaction Rinnekodit is a smoke-free and substance-free workplace. We will check a criminal record extract from the person selected for the position, as required by law (Act on Social and Health Care Supervision). The extract must not be older than six months. We build a respectful and equal work culture where everyone has the opportunity to develop. Our team includes practical nurses, nurses, special instructors, and in some units, a housekeeper. Your supervisor is the unit manager. We warmly welcome you to our community and ensure comprehensive and welcoming onboarding. We follow principles of a safer space to ensure a respectful, safe, and pleasant work environment where everyone can be themselves. As a member of the community, you influence the team atmosphere. You meet colleagues kindly and considerately. We offer: Salary according to the private social services collective agreement, in a guiding role For completed social and health care professionals: 2495.24-2825.05 € + shift allowances For 2/3 of the practical nurse students: 2345.53-2655.55 € + shift allowances Versatile occupational health care and leisure accident insurance Your own mentor and a welcoming onboarding plan Support for work-life balance through shared shift planning Opportunity to work with a 3+4 shift model (three workdays and four days off) Part-time employment possibility Opportunity to utilize your skills, strengths, and talents Possibility to do an internship during your summer job (discuss in advance with your teacher and supervisor) Opportunity to participate in career planning Chance to learn new things and build your career path in social and health care.
