Licensed Practical Nurse (2), temporary, elderly care services, Iin and Yli-Ii home care - Pohjois-Pohjanmaan Hyvinvointialue - Ii, Finland

We are seeking two (2) licensed practical nurses for temporary positions in elderly home care services in the Iin and Yli-Ii areas. The positions are available from September 1, 2026, to August 22, 2027, and from August 1, 2026, to August 8, 2027. Start dates can be arranged based on orientation needs. The role includes guiding, advising, rehabilitating, and collaborating with other service providers for clients receiving home care. The work involves providing home-based nursing and care, tailored to individual service needs, with the goal of enabling clients to live actively and safely at home. Key aspects of the work include supporting recovery-oriented nursing, daily mobility, safe medication management, and good nutrition. The work is independent and varied, within a multidisciplinary team. The work is performed in three shifts. Due to the mobile nature of the work, a B driver's license and the possibility to use a personal car are required. Experience with the RAI functioning capacity assessment tool, wound care, good ergonomics, kinesthetics, and experience in home care and elderly nursing are considered an advantage. We will verify original certificates and employment references during interviews. Applicants must be registered in the register maintained by the National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Terhikki and/or Suosikki). Additionally, a valid medication administration competence or completion within three (3) months of employment is required. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract issued under the Act on the Protection of Privacy in Social and Health Care (741/2023) before starting work. We apply a probation period of up to 6 months. The probation period can be up to half of the employment duration in fixed-term contracts lasting less than 12 months.
