Communications Planner - Keuruun kaupunki - Keuruu, Finland

The communications planner is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing internal and external communication for the City of Keuruu. The communications planner supports city personnel in successful communication across various situations. The role includes overall responsibility for developing and coordinating the entire organization's communication and city marketing. Key responsibilities include: external communication and media cooperation (decision-making, events, services), internal communication and development of internal communication (e.g., staff notices and intranet), city marketing campaigns (land and resident marketing, etc.) and ideation and coordination of marketing events, assisting and training staff in communication and city marketing matters, content creation and maintenance for city social media channels, updating and developing websites, coordinating and developing crisis communication. A suitable higher education degree is required for the position. Success in the role requires previous experience in communication tasks. Additionally, we value: knowledge of municipal legislation and operational environment, experience in marketing tasks, training experience, WordPress and Canva skills, graphic design skills. The communications planner position is part of the city’s corporate services. Salary and other employment terms are determined according to the municipal general collective agreement (KVTES). The salary basis is KVTES salary group ASI44C1 and the locally defined level salary based on responsibility. A 5-month probationary period applies.
