The A-Clinic community and detox unit in Tampere serve adult clients who require 24/7 care for recovery from alcohol, drug, or medication dependence. The unit includes an inpatient rehabilitation program that offers long-term, goal-oriented inpatient treatment for substance abusers. Additionally, the unit provides alcohol, medication, and drug detoxification, initiation, cessation, or switching of substitution treatments, as well as treatment for behavioral addictions. The unit is open 24/7, and nursing staff work in three shifts. We are seeking counselors for temporary work. Main responsibilities As a counselor in the unit, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Your tasks include close therapeutic work with clients, planning and implementing addiction treatment and rehabilitation according to the service pathway model, motivating and guiding clients, leading therapeutic and recovery-oriented group sessions, administering medication according to the doctor’s instructions, documentation and reporting, and collaborating with the client and their network of relatives. The work involves three-shift rotation. What are the requirements? The position requires a practical nurse qualification. We value a proactive approach to development, enthusiasm, good communication and collaboration skills. Customer experience is extremely important to us, so we hope you are approachable and understand the elements necessary for a positive customer experience. The work is highly independent and focused on the client’s goals. Experience in mental health and addiction work, methodological skills, and group facilitation experience are appreciated. The role requires vaccination protection under Section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act, a hygiene pass, and completed medication administration licenses. The medication licenses can be obtained within one month of starting employment. A B-driver’s license is also considered an advantage. What do we offer?
