ReOrbit is looking for a motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at our HQ in Helsinki, Finland. As our Senior Systems Engineer, you will take the lead on designing and developing our systems, supporting and mentoring other team members. Your extensive hands-on experience in satellite ecosystems will enable you to contribute immediately. The role involves stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, system design, working with suppliers, and supporting phases from AIT to launch and operation. You will work across disciplines with ground and space subsystems to develop innovative space communication systems.

Responsibilities
- Support the design, integration, and validation of complex space and ground systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine requirements, develop CONOPS/OPSCON, and perform feasibility studies.
- Support business development with technical bids and documentation.
Requirements
- At least 6 years' experience working as a systems engineer in the satellite industry including simulation infrastructure and system modelling.
- Full lifecycle awareness from requirements to AIT and launch.
- Familiarity with NASA’s systems engineering standards, including NASA Systems Engineering Handbook (SP-6105).
- Strong understanding of ECSS standards related to systems engineering.
- Experience developing and executing verification & validation (V&V) test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Ability to plan and execute IV&V test activities.
- Experience with spacecraft and ground system models.
