Would you like to help implement development ideas in practice? We are looking for an FUI expert for the Entrepreneurship and Business Operations FUI team. We are seeking a full-time FUI expert for our Entrepreneurship and Business Operations FUI team. In this role, you will work as an expert in three different projects alongside other FUI experts. The employment is temporary, from August 10, 2026, to May 31, 2028. As an FUI expert, you will implement development work in practice: planning and executing project activities, documenting and communicating results, and actively collaborating with various stakeholders. You enjoy meeting people and facilitating workshops, networking events, and other forms of joint development. You are motivated by regional development and want to help build future solutions. The position offers opportunities to develop your own expertise through multiple parallel projects. You will mainly work at Jakobstad campus within the influence area, together with Swedish-speaking stakeholders. The working languages at Centria are Finnish and English, but good knowledge of Swedish is required to succeed in the role. We expect you to have: - A suitable university degree - Experience in FUI tasks or other development work - Competence in participatory development methods, as well as planning and facilitating workshops and pilots - Ability to combine research-based and practical development work (e.g., pilot trials, prototypes, and operational models) - Interest in or understanding of gamified methods, technology education, and creative processes as part of innovation activities - Experience with or readiness to work with schools, youth, and companies as part of R&D units - Ability to formulate business-based development challenges and learning or experimentation cases in collaboration with partners - Good communication skills and the ability to report, structure, and summarize information to support development work and decision-making We offer: - Flexible working opportunities - Meaningful and socially impactful work within regional development projects - An expert role with real opportunities to influence work content - A diverse and varied work environment - Opportunities to develop your skills - Support from a knowledgeable and encouraging work community Employment is conditional on project funding approval. Additional information: Salary is determined according to the collective agreement for universities of applied sciences (Sivista rf). The total salary consists of a base salary and experience-based supplement (1.6% of the base salary). The base salary is in salary group 3047, ranging from 2,674.76 to 3,274.76 euros. The position is full-time with a weekly working time of 36.25 hours.
