As a commissioning engineer, you will work on the deployment of Schneider's application solutions by testing and ensuring the proper functioning of switchgear, generators, UPS devices, and other electrical monitoring equipment. You will configure the equipment to communicate correctly with other systems and protocols. Nothing is left to chance; all steps are tested, quality assured, and monitored to achieve optimal operation and ensure all values are correctly stored in the database. To ensure a smooth start, you will receive onboarding and participate in internal training at Schneider. You will be part of a small team with an open atmosphere and good camaraderie. Work on-site will be conducted in good company with internal and external colleagues. The employment start date is at the end of May or beginning of June 2026. Responsibilities As a commissioning engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the electrical monitoring system or switchgear functions correctly before commissioning. Your main tasks include: Configuring and commissioning the entire application solution Ensuring that the electrical monitoring meets specifications and standards Performing various tests to identify potential issues and ensure all systems operate efficiently and safely Collecting and compiling all necessary documentation, including test results and commissioning reports Collaborating with other engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure smooth operation and customer cooperation. We are looking for A suitable background in electrical or automation engineering (e.g., electrician or university of applied sciences studies) Knowledge of electricity through education or previous work experience Strong and genuine interest in technology and data Fluent English skills A driving license B and own car. It is an advantage if you have Proficiency in Finnish is considered an asset Previous experience working with servers or switches Knowledge or experience of SCADA systems (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) Experience with Modbus, BACnet, or other communication protocols.
