We are hiring a special education teacher for early childhood education for a permanent position starting August 1, 2026, or as agreed. In March 2026, a new daycare building Pikkupeikko was completed, and from August 1, 2026, we will transition from group-based activities to a daycare model. Group activities will continue at Hutun group daycare located in Hutun. As a special education teacher in early childhood education, you will join a creative and developing community, working with motivated staff who are dedicated to children. Your responsibilities include collaborating with other staff at Pikkupeikko and Hutun, supporting staff and families, planning, implementing, and evaluating support measures, contributing pedagogical expertise, preparing documents, planning and guiding three-tier support, producing materials, and participating in multidisciplinary cooperation. Qualifications include experience in special education and early childhood education, good interaction and teamwork skills, initiative, a developmental approach, and the use of a personal vehicle. The position requires a qualification as a special education teacher in early childhood education, as specified in the Finnish Early Childhood Education Act, Section 30. Salary is based on the OVTES scale, with a workweek of 38.25 hours. Before employment, a medical certificate and criminal record extract must be provided within 30 days.
