Job Description
Avant Power, part of Avant Group, is a Finnish family-owned company leading in compact loaders. Established in 2022, it produces electric batteries for loaders, with a turnover of about €4 million and 15 employees, all based in Finland. The UI/UX Designer will shape user experience for cloud-based energy solutions, working closely with product owners, engineers, and end users to design intuitive, efficient interfaces. Responsibilities include designing interfaces, conducting user research, validating designs, maintaining design systems, creating wireframes and prototypes in Figma, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to frontend development using React and Material UI. The role offers significant impact on product direction and user experience, utilizing modern cloud tech including AWS, React, TypeScript, and IoT applications.

Responsibilities
- Designing intuitive and accessible interfaces for web-based applications and machines/equipment
- Conducting user research, interviews, workshops, and usability studies
- Understanding user needs, workflows, and business requirements, and translating them into product experiences
- Validating designs through user testing and iterative improvement
- Maintaining and developing design systems, component libraries, and UX guidelines
- Creating user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma
- Collaborating with stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
- Contributing to frontend implementation using React and Material UI
Requirements
- Experience in UI/UX design for complex web applications
