We are hiring a permanent Early Childhood Education Teacher at Kalliola Daycare Center. The position will be filled starting August 3, 2026, as a fixed-term contract, and will be made permanent starting October 1, 2026. The position initially involves working with a 4-5-year-old group. We are looking for an early childhood education teacher for the multicultural area of Tuiran, where we collaborate across different daycare centers in a networked manner. Kalliola Daycare Center is located near the Oulu River and the diverse cultural offerings of the city center. You will be supported by a broad group of professionals from the City of Oulu's early childhood education sector, including language and culture teachers, mentors, and other specialists. The qualification requirement for an early childhood education teacher is based on the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, section 26), considering the transitional provisions for personnel under the same law (section 75). A bachelor's degree in education must include professional studies in early childhood education or at least 60 ECTS credits in social and health care studies related to early childhood education and social pedagogy. The salary for the position is based on the job-specific pay system and levels of competence and responsibility, ranging from €2,864.37 to €2,975.07. The actual salary consists of the job-specific pay and possible other levels according to the collective agreement OVTES. Before accepting the position, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract issued in accordance with the Act on Background Checks of Persons Working with Children (504/2002). According to the Infectious Diseases Act (section 55), the employer is responsible for requesting a reliable statement from the employee or intern/student that they do not have active tuberculosis.
