Export Control Specialist - Bittium Oyj - Remote - Global

Bittium is expanding its defence and security business and is strengthening its export control and logistics team. We are now looking for an experienced Export Control Specialist. In this role, you will ensure that our top-class communication and security solutions comply with international trade regulations, including EU dual-use regulations and US export controls. Your key responsibilities include evaluating export license needs, managing license applications with Finnish authorities, ensuring compliance and reporting, performing product classifications, supporting international logistics and trade compliance, and developing compliance processes and documentation. We expect you to have a relevant higher education degree (e.g., law, business, logistics, or engineering), at least 3-5 years of experience in export control, international trade, or global logistics, preferably in defense, aerospace, or telecommunications. You should have a strong understanding of international trade, customs procedures, and global supply chains, as well as deep knowledge of EU dual-use regulations, sanctions, and US export controls (EAR and ITAR). Excellent communication skills in Finnish and English are required, along with a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented work approach.
