Welding Foreman - Valmet - Jyväskylä, Finland

Do you want to be in a key role in starting new welding production and building the future expertise of Rautpohja? We are looking for a welding foreman for Valmet in Jyväskylä to be responsible for the production ramp-up. With the new product, the factory is expanding its operations and is looking for an experienced supervisor of welding work to lead the production ramp-up and the work of the new welding team. In this role, you will get to build something new and develop our welding processes to a top level. Work starts as soon as possible according to the agreement. The position is full-time and requires readiness to work in shifts if necessary. Your tasks and areas of responsibility: Act as a supervisor and lead change: guide and lead the daily work of welders performing manual and mechanized welding and handle diverse personnel-related tasks under the supervisor's responsibility. Certify operations: take a key role in the implementation of the ISO 3834-2 standard-compliant welding quality management system at the Rautpohja plant. Ramp up production: be responsible for the start-up and ramp-up of welding operations related to the production of new products. Develop processes: lead, monitor and develop the quality and efficiency of welding processes in the future. Be responsible for occupational safety: be responsible for special risks related to welding and their management. We expect from you: Experience: you know how to lead demanding stainless steel welding processes and the personnel working with them. IWT/IWS qualification is considered an advantage. Development-oriented: you are happy to take responsibility for building a new production process. Cooperation skills: you act smoothly as a link between quality assurance and practical production. Supervisory skills: you have strong people management skills. You take responsibility, build trust, lead boldly in change and promote cooperation across operational boundaries. You act in accordance with Valmet's management principles and get your team to succeed in common goals. System expertise: you have experience with systems used in production environments, such as ERP or production control systems, and you adopt new systems quickly. The position requires fluent English language skills, as the work involves cooperation with international stakeholders.
