Job Description

We are seeking a Finnish as a Second Language teacher, primarily based at Ilpoisten School. The position is temporary, from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The Finnish as a Second Language teacher's main responsibility is teaching students in grades 3-6. There may also be individual lessons for grades 1-2. The teacher is responsible for 18 weekly lessons in the Finnish as a Second Language curriculum. Planning is done in collaboration with grade team teachers and special education staff. Ilpoisten School's teaching arrangements are based on the ProKoulu model, emphasizing a positive activity culture, teamwork, and student-centeredness. Join our cheerful and community-oriented team. The selected candidate must provide a health statement (KVhL 7 §) and a criminal record extract (Act on the Criminal Background Check of Persons Working with Children 504/2002).
