The home care services in Turku have openings for practical nurse positions in the Lehmusvalkama, Nättinummi, Pohjola, Pääskyvuori, Runosmäki, and Vähäheikkilä-Hirvensalo areas. Your tasks As a practical nurse in home care in Turku, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Your work will be diverse and include supporting the daily lives of the elderly, basic care, and medical tasks. You will be responsible for medication administration, such as dispensing and ordering medicines, filling medication dispensers, and medication dosing. Your duties also include wound care, stoma and catheter care, and participating in assessing clients' care and service needs. You will work independently at clients' homes, but support from the team is always nearby. In home care, you will have opportunities to develop your skills and act as a trusted professional in elderly care. A valid driver’s license and access to a personal car are required, but in the Lehmusvalkama and Runosmäki teams, mobility can be achieved by walking or cycling. Knowledge of the Pegasos OMNI system and RAI assessment tools, as well as a valid LOVe medication license, are considered advantages, and can be obtained through the employer if necessary. The qualification requirement is a professional degree in social and health care (practical nurse) or an earlier school-level qualification in the field, along with a valid registration in JulkiTerhikki and JulkiSuosikki registers.
