Job Description

This recruitment is conducted anonymously. We evaluate applications solely based on skills, experience, and motivation. We are hiring three impact specialists for permanent positions. Our goal is to form a complementary team, so applicants do not need to meet all described areas but can be strong especially in one focus area. Welcome to Diakonissalaitos! We promote impact-based solutions in collaboration with the public, private, and third sectors. The core of the work is shifting from outputs to verifiable results and strengthening people's well-being. We build new partnerships, develop impact-based projects and funding models, and share impact expertise. We actively participate in the Coimpact network (coimpact.fi), which brings together impact investors, service providers, developers, and funders. Our aim is to reform service procurement and organization to be impact-based. The role: As an Impact Specialist, you will promote impact-based pilot and development projects as part of a partnership team. You will participate especially in building, coordinating, and data-driven management of neighborhood alliances starting in Helsinki. The role is within the Service Design and Partnerships team, working closely with cities, well-being regions, funders, and Diakonissalaitos experts. We are looking for three experts with different strengths. You may identify with one or more of the profiles below. The key focus areas are: 1. Impact Data and Data-Driven Management: analyzing and modeling impact data, developing metrics and reporting, building data management practices, guiding data-based management. 2. Development and Facilitation: coordinating projects, facilitating workshops and collaboration, building new operational models, promoting impact-based models. 3. Target Groups and Field Work: developing customer guidance and outreach models, working with at-risk and vulnerable groups, collaborating with service providers and communities, providing practical insights into group needs. The work directly supports Diakonissalaitos' strategy to build more impactful solutions for vulnerable people. The work is hybrid: mainly based in Helsinki at Alppikatu, with occasional travel within Finland. We expect: a relevant higher education degree, experience in network development or project work, skills in interaction and collaboration, ability to promote impact-based practices, self-directedness, goal-oriented work attitude, eagerness to learn and develop professionally. Additional valued skills: experience with data and data-driven management, facilitation of development processes, working with target groups. You could be a data or analytics professional wanting to do socially impactful work, a development professional working across networks, or a social or community worker aiming to influence system level. Our team consists of experts with backgrounds in service design, impact investments, data, and impactful concepts. We value practical development and cross-sector collaboration. We work agile, experimenting and learning together. Our leadership supports and coaches, encouraging and listening. We build an inclusive and equal work culture where everyone can grow and feel safe. We follow principles of a safer space to ensure a respectful and pleasant work environment. We offer: a contract salary of 3600-4300 euros, benefits including sports, well-being, and cultural benefits, comprehensive occupational health care, onboarding, opportunities to utilize your strengths, housing support in the Helsinki area, financial management support, and career coaching. Application process: We support equal recruitment practices by conducting this process anonymously. We evaluate applications based on skills, experience, and motivation only. You do not need to include a CV. The application deadline is June 24, 2026. Interviews are scheduled for June 29-30, 2026, in Helsinki. Selected candidates will undergo profiling and possibly a second interview. The work begins as soon as possible, no later than August 13, 2026.
